It means that you want to keep the past alive and preserve it for future generations to know how important Williamsburg was for our fight for independence during the Revolutionary War.
As a descendent of the Randolphs of Colonial Virginia and related to President Thomas Jefferson, I want others to know what Colonial Williamsburg is doing to preserve the past. They are keeping Dr. W.A.R. Goodwin’s words alive, “So that the future may learn from the past.”
