I have been asked a few times over the years if I have a lot of period clothing so I can dress up for Investigations. The answer is simple, no. I have many period outfits because I have done historic re-enactments for over 20 years. I do not dress in costume for my tours or our paranormal investigations.
On that note, there have been several times at re-enactments while dressed in the period I have had experiences with a spirit from that time frame. Maybe someday I will dress in period during an Investigations to see if it helps obtain evidence or contact with a spirit. Many people ask me why I don’t have a lot more ghostly photos and videos, EVPs, or paranormal proof on my website. Well, there are two reasons for this.
#1 I rarely post photos, video, or audio out of the privacy of our clients. I only post photos or info they approve. #2 Years ago, a paranormal group stole some of my photos, audio, etc. from my website and tried to pass it off as their own evidence. That was a messy battle but Historic Haunts Investigations won and since then I have chose to post very little, except for in my books which I have copyrighted. Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations Jamie Pearce Saturday, October 5th, author Jamie Pearce spoke with a great group at the Fleming Island Library. She always enjoys meeting her readers and chatting about her Historic Haunts book series.
I get asked often what my writing method is. Well, I’m old school. After conducting the investigations and doing the research I sit down with a pen and paper and start writing. I do my notes for all locations that are going to be in the books first; 1. History, 2. Ghost stories, 3. Our investigation, 4. Wrap up the chapter.
After this, I type everything up and go from there. Nothing exciting really, but if it helps an aspiring author, I’m happy to help. Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations, Jamie Pearce Friday, October 4th, Jamie Pearce, author and Historic Haunts founder spoke with the Palmetto Club in Daytona Beach Florida on the paranormal. She shared many of her experiences in her over 25 years involved in the paranormal.
Another spooktacular talk with a great bunch of ladies. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a cat person. There are so many hauntingly great felines but I don't have a problem picking my favorite. Binx, from Hocus Pocus! He is a supernatural cat from a fantastic movie. Witches and cats...it can't be beat. I also love Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch (from the 1990's). A sarcastic cat...why not.
Happy October, everyone! Jamie Pearce did a paranormal talk with the Women of Nassau at Story and Song Book Store and Bistro in Fernandina Beach, FL September 27th, 2019.
Pearce shared many personal experiences from her 25 plus years in the field and info about her Historic Haunts book series. Amazing food, in a fantastic book store, with a great group of ladies. Jamie Pearce, author and founder of Historic Haunts Investigations, not only loves the paranormal, but she also loves history. Especially the Revolutionary War period.
