Echo Bodine is another great psychic in the field and came into professionally in 1979 before the paranormal craze peeked. Her gifts include clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (sensing), and clairgustance (smell). She has become a psychic healer and paranormal investigator.
Bodine has written many books on psychic abilities and how to work with and improve them. One of my favorite books of hers is “The Gift”.

Déjà vu, from French, literally "already seen", is the phenomenon of having the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has been experienced in the past, whether it has actually happened or not. The psychologist Edward B. Titchener in his book A Textbook of Psychology (1928), explained déjà vu as caused by a person having a brief glimpse of an object or situation, before the brain has completed "constructing" a full conscious perception of the experience. Such a "partial perception" then results in a false sense of familiarity. Scientific approaches reject the explanation of déjà vu as "precognition" or "prophecy", but rather explain it as an anomaly of memory, which creates a distinct impression that an experience is "being recalled". This explanation is supported by the fact that the sense of "recollection" at the time is strong in most cases, but that the circumstances of the "previous" experience (when, where, and how the earlier experience occurred) are uncertain or believed to be impossible.

As time passes, subjects may exhibit a strong recollection of having the "unsettling" experience of déjà vu itself, but little or no recollection of the specifics of the event(s) or circumstance(s) which were the subject of the déjà vu experience itself (the events that were being "remembered"). This may result from an "overlap" between the neurological systems responsible for short-term memory and those responsible for long-term memory, resulting in (memories of) recent events erroneously being perceived as being in the more distant past. One theory is the events are stored into memory before the conscious part of the brain even receives the information and processes it. However, this explanation has been criticized that the brain would not be able to store information without a sensory input first. Another theory suggests the brain may process sensory input (perhaps all sensory input) as a "memory-in-progress", and that therefore during the event itself one believes it to be a past memory. In a survey, Brown had concluded that approximately two-thirds of the population has had déjà vu experiences. Other studies confirm that déjà vu is a common experience in healthy individuals, with between 31% and 96% of individuals reporting it. Déjà vu experiences that are unusually prolonged or frequent, or in association with other symptoms such as hallucinations, may be an indicator of neurological or psychiatric illness.

I never had the opportunity to meet the talented Annette Martin in person but I did have the opportunity to exchange a few emails with her and learn from her psychic workbook.

She worked in the paranormal field and one of my favorite cases that she was highly involved in was the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose California.

Unfortunately, Annette passed away from cancer in September 2011 but her knowledge in her workbook and in her White Light book was amazing and I hope she is enjoying the view from where she is today.

On October 11th, 1890 The Daughters of the American Revolution was founded and later incorporated by an Act of Congress in 1896. With over 177,000 members and 3,000 chapters it is a group of ladies who honor their ancestors who fought during the American Revolutionary war.
The group has a big part in historic preservation, placing monuments, restoring graves and markers, and preserving genealogical records for patriots and the sites were the events took place.

They are also a big on educating everyone on our countries part during the Revolution and pursuing patriotic endeavors.

I myself am in the process of becoming a member and look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone and celebrating my 6th great grandfather, John Turner who fought during the Revolutionary War.

Dr. Barry Taff is a very well-known parapsychologist and has been involved in more than 4500 cases involving ghosts, hauntings, and poltergeists for decades. One of his most well-known cases was in 1974 and later a movie was made on it, The Entity in 1983.
Dr. Taff is so well respected in the field that he has consulted with the CIA, NSA, FBI, sheriff’s departments, police departments, and many others.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to pick his brain more than once on the paranormal field and his knowledge always astounds me and I really enjoy hearing his experiences and views on the field.

The Karpeles Manuscripts Library Museum in Jacksonville Florida is one of only ten in the United States. It contains documents and manuscripts of the rare kinds on display and is privately owned by David and Marsha Karpeles. The exhibits change out from time to time which makes it very exciting to see what will be on display next.
The Jacksonville Museum opened in 1992 in the old First Church of Christ Scientists which was built in 1924. Many say this old building is haunted, but others believe it is the documents themselves that are haunted and not the building.
Apparently the activity fluctuates depending on the exhibits so it does seem the paranormal occurrences surround the items.
When I visited here a couple of years ago the documents that were here were letters between Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini. The articles were pertaining to the spirit world so it was a real treat to see that exhibit.

Precognition is one who sees something before it happens. Some people experience this in a dream and others see visions. Many people blow this off as a crazy dream or occurrence and others listen to it.

Historic Haunts Investigations team member, Gayel Roush, is too familiar with this because she has had precognitive visions for decades. Numerous times she has changed her plans due to something she saw which could have turned out to be quite dyer.

One day she was getting ready to leave her house and decided to leave a little later than she should because of an uncomfortable feeling. When she finally did leave the house (10 minutes later than she should have to be on time) she passed a deadly car accident that had literally just happened a few moments ago, which could have been her if she had left when she had needed to.

Premonitions can be scary but it is a good idea to listen to them and start reading more about it and talk with something about your experiences.
