Historic Haunts Investigation's Mascots

Since I started Historic Haunts Investigations (2004) we have had a mascot. Cosmo was my sweet girl from the very beginning and she picked up on several strange phenomenon in a house I used to live in. She passed away in 2008. Griffin was with us from 2011-2017 and she experienced the ghost of Cosmo. We now have Cali and believe she has experienced Cosmo and Griffin’s spirit.
It may sound odd, but there were certain things that happened when Cosmo visited and there were certain things Griffin does and I can tell the difference in who is here.
Our loving pets can return as spirits or ghosts just like humans. It’s nice to know they are both still here visiting from time to time.

Historic Haunts of the South

Many people ask what age range my Historic Haunts series is geared towards. I say, all ages...9-99. I have had young kids to beyond senior citizens reading my books and they all enjoy them.
Even Dr. Benjamin Franklin enjoys my Historic Haunts series.

Haunted University of Virginia

Go Wahoos! As a UVA girl, I am happy to say my college is indeed haunted.
My ancestor, Thomas Jefferson founded the college in 1819 and my inspiration to become an author, Edgar Allan Poe, attendee here in 1826.
The University of Virginia will be featured in Historic Haunts of the South IV and I will go into more details about the hauntings here and some of my personal experiences.

Past Life Regression Research

There are a few ways to do a past life regression; cds, hypnosis, meditation, etc. I have done several successful sessions and found out some very interesting this about my past lives.
One life, in the early 1900’s I lived in Portland Maine near the lighthouse and the sea took the love of my life. I apparently walked off the ledge of the rocks because I couldn’t take the pain.
Another life in 1607 I came over from England and lived in Jamestown.
Another time, I was killed in Salem Massachusetts in 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials.
I am still discovering my past and it is so fascinating. During my sessions I not only saw and heard things but could smell and feel and taste my surroundings. I have way more details about my past lives and will share them in more details in the future.

How to Wind Down After an Investigation

When we finish an investigation and pack up all the equipment we always announce to the spirits who might be listening that we are clocking out and going home and they need to stay put.
When we get home or to our hotel, I usually take a sea salt or pink salt bath and make sure to wash away any energy that might be hanging on. We have only had something follow us a couple of times and it was when we forgot to tell them they couldn’t go with us.

What Really Happened at the May Stringer Investigation

What Happened at the May Stringer House, May 2012

I have never openly discussed what happened to me at the May Stronger House in Brooksville Florida, until now.

In May 2012 we conducted an investigation at the house/museum and I was attacked by an entity known as Mr. Nasty. The entity came at us and I was scratched on my arm and it felt as though something went through me. That night after the investigations I didn’t feel well but didn’t think too much of it because I often feel drained after an investigation, especially if the spirit is negative. The next day, is when everything happened. I blacked out and ended up in Urgent Care.

Ever since then I have suffered from chronic migraines and vertigo and haven’t been the same since. I have been to 29 doctors or specialist and have had MRI’s, spinal tap, CT scans, EKG’s, x-rays, and on and on. The only thing they have ever found is a spot on my heart that wasn’t there before that night. I had never had a migraine in my life until then.

I am not saying 100% that the attack that night is what has caused my medical issues but it is strange how it all started after that investigation. I do believe that the attack has something to do with it. I have been blessed, prayed upon, cleansed, smudged, etc. and still nothing has helped. Maybe someday I will have the answers. There will be more details of what happened that night featured in an upcoming Historic Haunts book.

Pearce Joins the Society for Psychical Research

Jamie Pearce recently became a member of the Society for Psychical Research in England which was established in 1882. She is proud to be a member of such an esteemed group of like minded individuals that have been researching the paranormal for over 130 years.
