Many people ask me what are some of my favorite paranormal themed movies. Honestly, I don’t want a lot of modern or current movies or television shows, but I do have a few favorites. Not necessarily because they are true, but these are a few I do enjoy.

I became a Monticello Portico Member in 2019. Monticello is near and dear to my heart because I am related to Thomas Jefferson and I LOVE history. Plus, Monticello was featured in my 2nd book, Historic Haunts of the South.
I believe in preserving history, if we don’t, how will our children learn how things used to be. I encourage you to donate your time or whatever you can afford to your favorite historic site so we can keep history alive. Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations I became a Goodwin Society Member of Colonial Williamsburg in 2008. Colonial Williamsburg means the world to me. I used to live here and my family, the Randolph’s, are a big and important part of this town’s history. Plus, maybe sites at Colonial Williamsburg have been featured in my Historic Haunts series.
Dr. W. A. R. Goodwin once said, “So the future may learn from the past.” I believe in that 110%. We have to preserve these beautiful historic places for our future generations. Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations Sometimes I just like to share interesting articles I come across, here is one of them.

I can recommend five books for your Reading Challenge, my Historic Haunts book series.
Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations Many people ask me how I stay in shape while traveling doing investigations and book tours. Well, for me, it’s easy. I am a very active person and can’t stand sitting around. I am 5’ 7” and 120 lbs, and 40 years old. I’m the type that fitness is very important to me.
Most hotels have a gym but bed and breakfasts don’t. However, hauling cases of books and ghost hunting equipment is exercise in itself. Also, I am a vegetarian and try very hard to eat healthy and I rarely eat fast food or sweets. I do have a weakness for Coca Cola, that is my vice. It helps having a toddler and working from home, chasing her around off and on all day is a work out in itself. Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations I have seen so many so called “paranormal investigators” command or demand a spirit to show themselves. I just want to say, this is very unprofessional and not the appropriate was to conduct an investigation. I have been professional involved in the paranormal for over 25 years and have never commanded or been with a team demanding the spirits to make themselves known.
There are a few paranormal television shows that have done or so this and it just gets under my skin. This is NOT the way to conduct yourself or your group. We at Historic Haunts Investigations do not condone this. We would never command the living and will not do so with the dead. Please always be respectful to others, even if they are deceased. Happy Hauntings, Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations, Jamie Pearce Jamie Pearce, author and Historic Haunts Investigations Founder, has decided to pay it forward with online sales. Each month, Pearce will choose and organization to donate 10% of all online sales to. These organizations could be to help save wildlife, the planet, historic preservation groups, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, etc. A portion of your purchase will benefit a different non profit each month. Just think, your shopping will benefit a great charity.
I’m sure you are all wondering why I became a vegetarian and why I am doing a blog on my Historic Haunts website.
Well the reason I decided to change my life and the way I eat is because I feel all living creatures have feelings and souls, plus I could never actually kill something even if I were starving. I have ever worn leather or fur and I thought to myself why am I eating another living creature. I don’t judge anyone who isn’t a vegetarian, this was just my personal choice and decision. Plus, I feel like I am making a difference. Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations There are many ways to purchase Jamie Pearce’s Historic Haunts book series.
