August 19th, 2016 Deric and Jamie Pearce celebrated their 4 year wedding anniversary.
Happy Anniversary, Deric and Jamie from the Historic Haunts Investigations team. I have heard about the I-4 Dead Zone since I was a child. We have always been very respectful when driving or riding this stretch of road.
In the late 1800's, disease ripped through the Sanford area and wiped out at least one entire family. The family of five had little money and were buried in simple graves in a field with wooden markers. Everyone knows that you always respect a grace no matter how simple or elaborate it is. Well, almost everyone. Through the years anyone who disrespected the graves suffered dearly, a few even by death. The man who owned the property sold it to the state for the I4 development project and told them they must respect the graves, needless to say, that didn't happen and I-4 was built. It was built directly over the tiny family plot. Want to know more about this story and the reports of the paranormal that surround it? Wait until my book, Historic Haunts Florida III is released. ~Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations August 13th, 2016 Historic Haunts Investigation investigated the 1906 Grandview Bed and Breakfast in Mount Dora Florida.
This beautiful inn has it all, including a windmill and a few haunting tales. Keep an eye out for Historic Haunts Florida III to hear all the details from this investigation. August 11th, 2016 Historic Haunts Investigations investigated the Zeigler House Inn in Savannah Georgia.
This gorgeous inn was built in 1856 and has had some serious history, with a few paranormal experiences to boot. We even experiences a few phantom encounters ourselves. If you want to know all the details you will have to wait until Historic Haunts of the South IV is released. It will be worth it! On November 22nd 1915, the Col. T. Kennedy Show circus train collided with a Central Georgia passenger train. A fire broke out when the trains crashed into one another and six people were pronounced dead, dozens missing, and animals perished.
The death toll was never determined for sure of how many lives were lost in the accident. There is a mass grave and monument in Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus Georgia and there is a ghost story attached to the wreck site. We visited Columbus researching the story and if you want to hear more about the accident, you will have to keep an eye out for Historic Haunts of the South IV. ~Jamie Pearce Author/Founder of Historic Haunts Investigations Looking for something fun to do for a family reunion, birthday, anniversary, or other fun event?
