Working with Chip Coffey

12/15/2014

Picture
I have had the honor to work with Chip Coffey on two different occasions and all I can say is the man is amazing.
As a child, Chip started having psychic visions and they developed as he got older, then he finally started seeing apparitions.
Chip often appeared on Paranormal State and one of my favorites Psychic Kids were he worked with children and their psychic abilities.
His book Growing Up Psychic really helped me and is a great read for anyone who has experienced psychic abilities or has an interest in the subject.
It was an honor to meet with Chip and hear about his background and some of his tips on the paranormal and I hope to get to work with him again in the future.

Haunted Walt Disney World?

12/15/2014

Picture
There are many reports of haunted locations around Walt Disney World. Are they just fantastic myths or true haunted stories?

A ghostly bell hop supposedly haunts the Tower of Terror and cast members hate to close certain areas alone at night. I have to admit I have had a couple of strange encounters there. Goose bumps along the back of my neck when there was no air source to cause it or anyone behind me.
Ah yes, the Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom. Several reports here from a teen boy to a ghostly pilot who crashed his plane nearby before the park was built.
Reports of seeing Walt Disney’s ghost at the fire station on Main Street U.S.A. Coming in contact with his spirit would truly make my day being the huge Disney fan that I am.
These are only a few of the reports coming from the Disney parks in the sunshine state. It is a must stop for any Disney/paranormal fan.

Learning from Loyd Auerbach

12/11/2014

Professor Paranormal is how he is also known; Loyd Auerbach has been in the field of Parapsychology and ghost hunting for years.
He has been on numerous shows discussing the paranormal and has worked with the American Society for Psychical Research, John F. Kennedy University, Rhine Research Center, and has The Office of Paranormal Investigations.
I was fortunate enough to study parapsychology under Loyd Auerbach at HCH Institute in 2009 and completed the course with a certificate of completion.
He was a real joy to learn from and talk ghosts with. I treasure all that I learned from him.

Superstitions

12/11/2014

Are you superstitious? I’m not. I love black cats, Friday the 13th, wear black quite often, and open umbrellas in doors. It all depends on how you were brought up if you believe in the whole bad luck good luck thing. I was raised that you are not supposed to believe in that type of thing so it has never fazed me.

Some of the most common superstitions are;

·         Friday the 13th

·         Walking under a ladder

·         Breaking a mirror

·         Opening an umbrella indoors

·         Dog howling means death is near

·         A shiver means someone is casting a shadow on your grave

·         Never receive a single quarter as change

These are only a few superstitions and it barely even touches on the very long list and many of these are fears or beliefs friends of mine have. I will stick to something I have said for over 25 years, if you don’t believe in it, it cannot harm you.

Working with T.A.P.S. Through the Years

12/11/2014

Picture
I have had the opportunity on more than one occasion to work with several members of the T.A.P.S. team.
The Atlantic Paranormal Society was founded in 1990 and is based out of Warwick Rhode Island. They are also the stars of the SyFy hit show Ghost Hunters.
It has been a lot of fun working with several members from the team over the last 5 years and I look forward to doing so in the future.

Paranormal Investigating and the Weather

12/8/2014

Picture
If change in the weather (barometric pressure especially) can affect some people physically, causing headaches, migraines, and other issues why couldn’t it affect paranormal activity?

Beside the downside with a storm rolling through while trying to do an EVP session, while the thunder rumbles on and wind blows through and totally mucks up that part of the investigation. However, it could possibly give the spirits more energy to feed off of.

If energy cannot be created or destroyed and can only transfer from one thing or another, then why couldn’t it transfer into the spirit realm and give them more strength to materialize? Spirits use energy to manifest so one would think more energy in the air should give the entities more energy to work off of. The lightning discharged during an electrical storm generates electromagnetic energy fields. This is potentially great for “seeing” evidence but not for hearing it since the; thunder, rain, and wind will affect any audio evidence.

From our years of experience, we have “sensed” more during storms and picked up on more impressions but really haven’t captured any evidence of the paranormal. However, others have, it all depends on the location and the entities.

Christian Witches

12/1/2014

Picture
Many times in my life I have been told that I was a witch in a past life. Interesting enough, I do have family ties to the Salem Witch Trials.

When I was first told, I burned in a passed life, and yes this is how the woman put it, I was offended. I thought, is she calling me a witch (in the sense of being one with a “B”)? Then I thought how I was very polite and friendly to the woman, and I am a Christian so what is she talking about?! Then after being told by another person I was a very old soul and she thought I was once in old Salem, and then a few more times by even more people I started to wonder. Maybe there is something more to this.

I have always believed in the power of herbs and crystals and started looking into such a thing as a Christian Witch. Yes indeed, there is such a thing. People how worship God and Jesus, and believe in the power or crystals, earth, herbs, etc . is pretty much what a Christian Witch is. I have always been interested in the Salem Witch Trials, so I dug deeper into my family tree, and sure enough, there are two branches right in the heart of the witch trials.

I do not attend a regular church but have nothing against it. With mine and my husband’s schedules we rarely have time for it, but we don’t feel like we have to go to a formal church to believe and try to do right by others. I was baptized years ago in a Presbyterian Church but we left the church for personal reasons. When they are preaching more about money, money, money we decided to leave and just do our worship our own way. At home or with friends.

You can all me a witch if you wish, I know who I am and what I believe and I try to treat everyone equally. Maybe that is more of a spiritualist than religious, but I can sleep at night and try my best every day.
