The DeSoto Hotel, Savannah GA Investigation

While in Savannah for an event and a few investigations, we stayed at The DeSoto. Upon checking into our room, we had only been there for about half an hour, it smelt like someone was smoking a stogie and the impression someone was there with us. We got several hits in the KII EMF meter and when we asked whomever it was to stop smoking, the smell disappeared almost immediately.

There is more to this story but you will have to wait until the next volume of Historic Haunts of the South is released.

Tondee's Tavern, Savannah GA Mini Investigation

We recently had the opportunity to conduct a mini investigation at Tondee’s Tavern in Savannah Georgia. We got several readings in the basement and two of our investigators got extremely lightheaded and sick to their stomachs. We didn’t capture any evidence on camera or audio but we did have several personal experiences.

If you want to hear more of our findings, you will have to wait until the next volume of Historic Haunts of the South is released.

Honoring Vincent Price on the Anniversary of His Death

I will never forget the day I heard about Uncle Vinny's death. I was 14 years old and when I got the news, I was actually watching House on Haunted Hill. His memory lives on forever.

Speaking of the Paranormal Gets New Recording Space

Dr. Jamie Pearce, founder of Historic Haunts Investigations and host of Speaking of the Paranormal, is very excited about the new filming space she now has to get started on the long awaited YouTube channel to begin filming. Hopefully early 2022 the secret will unfold and come to light.

I started Historic Haunts Investigations in 2004 for two reasons; I love the paranormal and I love history. I am a historian and a reenactor so since I am recommending paranormal books every month, I figured I should do a history related one too. I hope you will enjoy them.

Dr. Jamie Pearce, even though born in Florida Pearce considers herself a Virginian due to living in Virginia multiple times and going to college at University of Virginia. She recently became a member of the Virginia Preservation Society to help preserve her family and the state of Virginia’s history.
