When I sleep, I always try to keep my feet in the east and my head in the west so when I sit up, I am looking towards the sunrise. I sleep much better this way and my dreams are much clearer and detailed.
Another thing that will affect your lucid dreaming is the time of night you eat. You do not want to eat less than 4 hours before bedtime because your body will be working over night to process the food.
Now make sure to position your bed in the best position for you and get your notebook ready and start dreaming.
